COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE
After a narrow 1 point loss in our last game 2 weeks ago we sit on 2 points after 2 games in the table. Our next game is this Sunday at 12pm in Cashel against Cashel King Cormacs. Best of luck to the players & management

MID JUNIOR HURLING LEAGUE
Both of our junior teams were in action last weekend. On Thursday 3rd our junior B side took on Holycross-Ballycahill in division 3. In a good performance all around the field we held a 3 point advantage at half time and maintained a lead throughout the second half. However Holycross struck an injury time goal to pip us by a point 2-14 to 0-19. Our junior A side had better luck as they took on Drom & Inch in division 1 last Saturday evening in Drombane. An early goal for Upperchurch offset some good point-taking from Drom and we continued to grow into the game from there. Eanna Ryan struck the net 5 minutes before half time to give us a 7 point lead at the interval. Drom took control in the second half, striking 2-3 without reply to gain the lead with 10 minutes remaining. This jolted Upperchurch into finding their accuracy and over the next 10 minutes both sides traded a number of points, and also a goal apiece, as they were tied entering injury time. Two late points saw Upperchurch gain the win 3-14 to 3-12. Our junior A side are next in action on Saturday 19th when they take on Moycarkey-Borris at 7pm in Littleton. In division 3 our junior B side play Killea next Thursday 17th at 7:45pm in Drombane.

The draws were made during the week for many of this years mid championships. In Premier Intermediate Hurling we are straight into the semi final where we will play the winners of Clonakenny & Moyne Templetouhy. In Junior A Hurling there are 2 groups. We are in group 1 alongside Boherlahan Dualla, Moycarkey Borris & Holycross Ballycahill. For Junior B Hurling there are also 2 groups and we are in group 1 with Clonakenny, Moycarkey Borris, Holycross Ballycahill, Gortnahoe Glengoole & Moyne Templetouhy. The under 19 hurling & football draws have also been done and we are in A grade for both. In hurling we are in group 3 with Moycarkey-Borris & Boherlahan Dualla while for football it is a knockout format. In round 1 we play the winners of Moyne Templetouhy & Loughmore Castleiney. If we win we will progress to the semi final. Should we lose we will play the other round 1 losers for a semi final spot.

TIPPERARY INTERCOUNTY TEAMS
We had a number of members wearing the Blue and Gold over the past week or so. Congratulations to Conor Fahey who made his senior intercounty championship debut in Tipperary's Munster football win over Waterford last Saturday evening. Paddy Phelan played his part in Tipperary's Under 20 hurling victory over Cork. Philip O'Dwyer made an appearance for the Tipperary minor hurlers in their game v Clare last Friday. While last Monday night Sean Griffin was named at midfield and was also vice captain of the Tipperary minor footballers as they had a good win over Waterford. Best of luck to all in the upcoming games
