Despite a big effort we were defeated by Thurles Sarsfields in the mid semi final last weekend in Drombane. With little between the sides in the first quarter it was Sarsfields who hit the final 3 points of the half to lead by 4 at the break. Upperchurch started the second half well and midway through the scores were level. Sars hit a dominant patch though, scoring 6 of the next 7 points and seemingly putting the game beyond reach. However there was plenty of fight left in Upperchurch who tacked on 3 of their own and left just two between the sides deep into injury time. However we could not manage to find the goal that was needed and Sarsfields won 0-19 to 0-17 and qualify for the final.

UNDER 21 FOOTBALL
With only 2 sides in the mid A competition this year we are guaranteed a final appearance against JK Brackens. This game will be played over the next few weeks with the exact fixture details to be confirmed.

CLUB AGM
Upperchurch Drombane GAA will hold it's AGM on Friday November 29th at 8pm in the clubhouse. All members are encouraged to attend. All nomination & motion forms should be returned to the club secretary by Friday November 15th

MONDAY NIGHT CARD DRIVE
The 45 Drive card game started again this past week. It will be held every Monday night over the winter months starting 8-8:30pm in the clubhouse. All are welcome, from beginners to experts.

Thanks to all who have signed up so far to our New Field Benefactor Scheme and we would encourage anyone else to sign up as soon as possible to help us reach our target. TIPPERARY GAA WIN A HOUSE FUNDRAISER
As part of their fundraising efforts Tipperary GAA have launched a draw to win a new house in Cashel worth €350,000 or €300,000 in cash.
