We defeated Eire Og Annacarty in the county quarter final last weekend to keep our drive to return to the senior ranks alive. Two early goals from Paudie Greene & Aaron Ryan set us up well as we led for long periods. Paul Shanahan added a 3rd to give us a 5 point lead at half time. Annacarty clawed their way back though and drew level with 10 minutes to go. However we finished strongly, scoring the final six points, to win by 3-13 to 0-16. We have been drawn to face Cashel King Cormacs in the semi final with this game fixed for next Saturday(28th) in Semple Stadium at 3pm. It is part of a double header with the senior hurling semi final.

Our intermediate team were defeated by Skeeenarinky in the county relegation semi final last weekend. In a fairly tight game it was a Skeheen goal just after half time that gave them breathing space and they emerged 4 points winners 1-16 to 0-15. We now face into a relegation final next weekend(Sunday 29th) against Ballybacon Grange in Bansha at 1pm

JUNIOR FOOTBALL

Our junior footballers are in action in the mid semi final this evening(Saturday) against Boherlahan Dualla in Holycross at 5:30pm. Best of luck to players & mentors.

The club would like to wish its sympathies to the family & friends of Billy Mahony who died earlier this week. Billy played with the club in he 50s before moving to Dublin and hurled with the Young Ireland's club. He was part of the 1954 Tipperary minor team which won the Munster title and reached the All Ireland final. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam.

NEW FIELD BENEFACTOR SCHEME

Thanks to all who have signed up so far to our New Field Benefactor Scheme. To help cover the cost of providing a 2nd full pitch, a juvenile field and the provision of car parking facilities in Drombane we are inviting supporters to help us and become a benefactor.
