SENIOR FOOTBALL

The footballers booked their place in the county finals with victory over Killenaule last Friday night in The Ragg. In extremely difficult weather conditions we got the defining goal 20 minutes into the first half on the way to a 1-2 to 0-3 point lead at half time. With torrential rain in the second half we held Killenaule to 1 point while adding on 4 of our own to run out 1-6 to 0-4 winners. Our final group game is against Arravale Rovers on Sat Sept 2nd at 3:45pm in Dundrum. Irrespective of the result we are guaranteed to finish top of the group while Arravale will finish bottom.

SENIOR HURLING

Our senior hurlers play Loughmore-Castleiney this Sunday at 4pm in the county championship. Victory will give us a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages depending on the result of Holycross v Templederry taking place at the same time. Our game in Semple Stadium will be preceded by the clash of Thurles Sarsfields and Borris-Ileigh at 2:15pm. INTERMEDIATE HURLING

JUNIOR C HURLING

The junior C's received a walkover victory over Killea during the weekend. There is one group game remaining against Loughmore Castleiney with no date set for this as yet.

UNDER 19 HURLING

Congratulations to the under 19 hurlers who defeated Moyne-Templetouhy in the Mid quarter final last Wednesday evening. They now progress to a semi final with Gortnahoe Glengoole which takes place next Wednesday in Gortnahoe at 6:30pm.

TIPPERARY GAA BOARD DRAW

The first draw of the new season of the Tipperary GAA Draw takes place tonight(Friday) from the Cashel Palace Hotel
