CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
The club would like to wish all our players, committee, members and supporters a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Thanks for all the hard work and support over the past 12 months both on the field with all the club's successes and also in our fundraising efforts. Here's hoping for more of the same in 2023.
MOHER HILL 7K
Our annual charity fundraiser, the Moher Hill 7k, returns this year on St Stephens Days December 26th. Walkers will tackle the course at 10am while the runners will set off at 10:30am. This year all proceeds raised will go to the Irish Kidney Association and entry is just €10 for adults while kids are free. Looking forward to seeing as many taking part as possible to support a very worthwhile cause, and also work off some of the Christmas excess. Anyone wishing to register or donate can do so on our GoFundMe page http://www.gofundme.com/moher-hill-7k-2022
UNDER 21 HURLING
Well done to our under 21's who defeated Boherlahan Dualla in the mid semi final last weekend. A tight first half had Boherlahan take a 1 point lead into the break. The 2nd half was a completely different affair as Upperchurch took complete control and outscored our opponents 2-12 to 0-0 with Pat Ryan adding 2 further goals to his first half green flag. The final score was 3-27 t0 0-9. This leads to a final chance for the club to claim silverware as they face Loughmore Castleiney in the mid final this Monday (St Stephens Day) in The Ragg at 1pm. Tickets can be bought at https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa/ while there will also be a tap and go system at the gate. Best of luck to the players and management.
