TRACTOR RAFFLE LAUNCH

All are invited to the clubhouse tomorrow(Saturday) as we hold an evening of events to launch our tractor raffle fundraiser. Events will commence at 5:30pm with various age grades from Upperchurch Drombane Juvenile GAA and the Slieve Felim Rapparees showing their skills in a series of games. This will be followed at 7:30pm by the other age spectrum as our veterans take to the field. Over 40 stars of yesteryear will be togged out for either Tommy Tierney's Tigers or Packie Purcells Panthers. Rody Lowry will have the tough task of keeping law and order as referee. Free food, drink and ice-cream will be served for those attending. You'll also get a chance to see the tractor you could win as part of the raffle. Raffle tickets will go on sale from this weekend so keep an eye on our social media for details on where to buy in person or online.

SENIOR HURLING

Commiserations to our senior hurlers who were defeated by JK Brackens in the mid semi final last Saturday evening in Holycross. An early goal by Padraig Greene set the tone as we led throughout the first half and were 2 ahead at half time. Brackens started the 2nd half strongly though and it eventually took a 3 point lead with 10 minutes left. Another goal from Upperchurch reduced the margin to the minimum but Brackens kicked on and held out for a 3 point victory 0-26 to 2-17. Our next outing will be when the county championship commences with Holycross/Ballycahill our first opponents on the weekend of July 23rd.

JUNIOR HURLING

Best of luck to our junior hurlers who face Holycross/Ballycahill tonight(Friday) in the mid championship at 7:30pm in Drombane. This is a ticket only game and no cash will be accepted on the gate. Tickets can be purchased from https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa/

UNDER 19 HURLING

The mid championship commences next Wednesday evening at 7pm in Castleiney when we face Loughmore-Castleiney. Best of luck to the team and mentors.

MINOR HURLING ALL IRELAND

Congratulations to Paddy Phelan who played a pivotal role in the winning goal as the Tipperary minor hurlers claimed All Ireland glory last weekend against Offaly. Well done to the team and management also including the others involved from the area..

ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC

Next week sees our annual golf classic celebrate its 20th staging when it returns to Ballykisteen Golf Club on Friday 15th & Saturday 16th of July. The last remaining tee times and tee box sponsorship spots are now available. There is a great selection of prizes including 2 four balls in the Killarney golf & fishing club & overnight accommodation for the winning team.
