Our senior footballers bowed out of the championship with defeat to the current title holders Clonmel Commercials last weekend. We put in a fine effort in the first half and were unlucky to be 2 points down at the break. Clonmel showed their class from the restart though and we were unable to keep pace with them as 1-6 without reply in the first 8 minutes effectively ended the game as a contest. An Oisin Treacy goal midway through the half reduced the arrears but it is Commercials who advance to the final 1-20 to 1-5. Despite the result it has been a positive year for the club with quarter final appearances in both senior hurling & football championships in the same season for the first time in our history. Thanks to players, management & backroom teams for their effort throughout the year.

Best of luck to our junior B footballers who face Clonakenny in the mid final this Sunday(31st) at 11:30am in Castleiney. Tickets for this game can be bought at https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa/ Adults are €6 with juveniles free if accompanied by an adult. Hopefully the parish turns out in force to see the juniors emulate the u19's in winning the mid crown.

The county semi final against Newport has been fixed for Sunday November 7th at 2pm in Dolla. Ticket details will be announced next week.

The draw for the mid championship was held during the week and we have been drawn to face Thurles Sarsfields B in the quarter final. The winner will go into semi finals with the loser getting a second chance to play off with the loser of Boherlahan/Gortnahoe game for a semi spot. No date has been set yet for these matches.

Our club AGM is scheduled to be held on Sunday 5th December. All are welcome to attend. A number of positions are becoming vacant on the committee this year so if you would like to get involved or know someone who would then let the club secretary, chairman or any of the current committee know in advance.

Best of luck to our ballad group who will represent Tipperary in the Munster Scór Sinsear finals this Sunday at 3pm in Cashel.
