SENIOR HURLING

Comiserations to our senior hurlers who were defeated by Thurles Sarsfields in the mid semi final last Sunday. The final scoreline suggests an uneven game but the reality is that it was anything but. Although Sarsfields held a marginal lead most of the way through there was still just 2 points in it with 10 minutes to go. A flurry of 3 Sars goals in 4 minutes sealed the victory with a final scoreline of 4-19 to 1-17. Attention now turns to the county championship where we are in a group with Thurles Sarsfields, Drom/Inch & Eire Og Annacarty. Our first game is v Eire Og Annacarty on Sat Aug 28th at 6:30pm in Dundrum. Ticket details will be announced next week.

UNDER 19 HURLING

The under 19 hurlers claimed a spot in the mid final with a good 5 point victory over Loughmore-Castleiney in midweek(0-23 to 1-15). This sets up a mid final against Holycross Ballycahill. Keep an eye out over the weekend for confirmed fixture details. Information on tickets & streaming will be released afterwards. Best of luck to the team and hopefully they can claim another title for the parish.

JUNIOR HURLING

Our second game of the mid championship takes place this Sunday evening at 6pm in Boherlahan when we take on Boherlahan Dualla. Tickets are now available to purchase at: https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa Adult €6, Under 16's FREE and don't require a ticket. No money will accepted on the gate. 2020 season passes are expired and will not be accepted. The game will also be streamed live on our facebook page.

SENIOR FOOTBALL

The first round of the senior football championship is on Saturday September 4th against Moyle Rovers in Cashel at 6pm. Cahir & Aherlow are the other 2 teams in our group with the top two advancing to the county knockout stages and the bottom two entering the Tom Cusack cup(and relegation playoffs if they lose the first round of that)

UPPERCHURCH DROMBANE FEATURE ON TG4 THIS WEEKEND

Upperchurch/Drombane GAA hope all our parish are tuning into TG4 this Sunday night at 8:30pm to see our team of parishioners take on neighbours Holycross/Ballycahill in the Go Gasta challenge. We wish the best of luck to our team of Willie Shanahan, Kelley Harrington, Eamon Fogarty, Mary Burke, Pat Ryan and Caroline Shanahan. Its certainly not one to be missed.

Best of luck to our young hurlers who take part in the Tipperary Feile na nGael tomorrow with their group games being played in Dundrum.
