SENIOR HURLING

Our seniors were just pipped at the post by Kiladangan in the final group game of the county league last Sunday.A first half Kiladangan goal saw them open up a 4 point gap but we managed to claw this back to 2 points at the half time break. The second half was nip and tuck with the sides level going into stoppage time, however it was Kiladangan who stuck the last score to win by 1 (1-18 to 0-20). A draw would have seen us top the group and qualify for the final. Instead it was Kiladangan who progressed due to their better head to head record.

JUNIOR HURLING

The junior hurlers rounded out the mid league with a 100% record as they recorded a 3 point victory over Clonakenny last Sunday. In a good quality affair which we led by 4 at half time the final scoreline was 1-23 to 3-14. Best of luck to the lads as they face Gortnahoe-Glengoole in the semi final tonight(Friday) in Drombane at 7:45pm. UNDER 19 HURLING

Our under 19 hurlers claimed their first victory of the mid group stages with a 3 point victory over Thurles Sarsfields last night. Final score was 4-18 to 3-18. Next up is a meeting with Holycross\Ballycahill next Wednesday at 7:45pm in Drombane

Best of luck to the 6 parishioners who have made the series finale of TG4's Go Gasta. This will be filmed this Sunday in Kildare.
