As you know this Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June Upperchurch Drombane and District Development are organising a 24 hour walk on The Bog. Our Bog Walk has proved to be a fantastic amenity in our community since 2014. On Saturday and Sunday as a culmination of our recent fundraising to Light the Bog we will celebrate the Bog Walk's importance to the local community.
To ensure that we have walkers on the bog over the 24 hours we have invited Clubs and groups in the Parish to join us. We also hope to see as many families as possible join us over the 24 hours just come along at a time that suits you.
The following is our proposed Schedule for the Day :
At 10.00 am Maura Armstrong will cut the ribbon and lead off the walk.
10.00am to 11.00pm.
Upperchurch Drombane Defib Group.
11.00 am to 1.00pm: Upperchurch Creche Fairy Trail Walk + Nora Shanahan Free Spirit Holistic Yoga for Children in Marquee
1.00pm to 3.00pm Scoil Iosagain PTA
3.00pm to 5.00pm. Active Retirement final meeting before Summer break
and Parish Choirs
5.00pm to 7.00pm
Drama Group
Youth Club
Womens Gym Group
7.00pm to 8.30pm: Upperchurch Cycle Club led by Councillor Peter Ryan Paralympic Cyclist
8.30 to 9.30: Evening Vigil Mass in Marquee and Blessing of walk and participants.
9.30pm to 12 midnight: Dance to Phil Maher on the platform.

Even if you don't want to walk call to The Bog on Saturday.
Our Cuardaioch Tent will be open all day where you can call in for a chat and a cuppa.
Try your hand at skittles, petanque,
horseshoe throwing ..
Maybe even a game of cards!
