A strong finish by Moyne-Templetouhy gave them victory over our Premier Intermediate hurlers in the mid semi final last Tuesday night. The sides were level four times in the opening ten minutes before Upperchurch got marginally the upper hand to take a three point advantage to the break. The lead was maintained into the second period till a Moyne goal on 13 minutes drew the sides level. Two quick points for Upperchurch pulled out a lead again before Moyne were awarded a penalty. Despite a good save from Paul Ryan on the first attempt, a re-take was ordered and Moyne dispatched on the second effort to take the lead with 10 minutes left. Despite being reduced to 14 men it was Moyne who showed the greater hunger and eked out the advantage to 4 points, with 3 eventually being their winning margin. Final score was 2-18 to 0-21 in favour of Moyne-Templetouhy. Focus now turns to the county championship and our first game is this Sunday against Moneygall in Dolla at 1:30pm. All support greatly appreciated. Tickets for the game will be available to purchase at https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/tipperary-gaa/ or via Tap n Go at the gate.
