SENIOR FOOTBALL

Best of luck to our senior hurlers who take on Killenaule in the 2nd game of the county championship this evening(Friday) at 7pm in The Ragg. After defeating Cahir in the opening round a win tonight would set up a place in the knockout stages. SENIOR HURLING

Congrats to the senior hurlers who had a good win over Templederry last weekend in Semple Stadium. After an even opening it was Templederry who settled quickest, moving into a 4 point lead after 15 minutes. Upperchurch regained composure though, and scoring the final 3 points of the first half, took a 3 point lead into the break. The second half proved tight with no more than 2-4 points between the sides until a goal from Paul Shanahan with 2 minutes of normal time left put us 5 up. Despite being denied another goal & Templederry finding the net themselves we emerged 5 point victors 1-23 to 1-18. Loughmore defeated Holycross in the other group game. We now head back to Semple Stadium for the final group match v Loughmore-Castleiney on Sunday 27th at 4pm. This is the second part of a double header with Borris-Ileigh v Thurles Sarsfields preceding it at 2:15pm. The current standings in our group are Loughmore 4, Holycross & Upperchurch 2 & Templederry 0pts.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING

We play our final group game in the county championship on Saturday 26th against Skeheenarinky. Throw in is at 3pm in Cahir. A decent win here is vital to having a chance of avoiding the relegation playoffs.

JUNIOR C HURLING

The junior C's were defeated by a strong Thurles Sarsfields outfit last Monday night. The next game is currently scheduled against Killea in Killea for next Monday evening at 7pm.

UNDER 19 HURLING

Well done to the under 19 hurlers who had a 6 point victory over Na Sairsealaigh Og last night in the mid group stage

TIPPERARY GAA BOARD DRAW

The new season of the Tipperary GAA Draw is approaching with the first draw taking place on Friday 25th August and the usual array of great prizes up for grabs.
