SENIOR HURLING
The senior hurlers began their 2016 campaign with a 1 point victory over Loughmore-Castleiney in Castleiney last Sunday in the 1st round of the County Challenge Cup. Both teams were down a number of regulars and the slippy underfoot conditions ensured the game would not be free flowing. At no stage was there more than 2 points between the teams. Upperchurch went in at half time 0-7 to 0-6 ahead and despite an early rally from Loughmore at the second half managed to regain control and win on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-11. We now progress to round 2A of the competition.
U21 A FOOTBALL
The mid semi final against Drom & Inch originally fixed for this weekend has been postponed to a later date
INTERCOUNTY
Hard luck to Paul Shanahan who was named at no. 8 on the Tipperary under 21 football team narrowly defeated by Kerry in the Munster quarter final last Wednesday night. This was a very strong Kerry side having won the last 2 minor All Ireland titles.
SENIOR CITIZENS DAY OUT

Prices are unchanged from 2015:
€10 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18.
€20 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21.
€50 for all players over 21 years of age.
€30 for all non playing members irrespective of age.
